Tuiga Fau Workshop - Sat. Aug 22nd 1pm - 4pm - limited capacity

  • All Workshop Materials needed to make (1) Tuiga Fau per registered attendee is included with workshop registration

  • Workshop supplies - a workshop supply list (scissors, pen/paper, ruler, etc.) will be sent to each person registered and are highly encouraged to be brought by each attendee. Limited supplies will be available to share for those who do not have everything on the supply list.

• This is a limited & closed workshop - Only registered attendees will be allowed in the Workshop space.

This workshop will be taught by Mark “Maleko” of Faletuiga Hawaiʻi who is a multidisciplinary Polynesian artist and cultural practitioner specializing in Samoan, Tongan, Hawaiian, and Tahitian cultural attire. One of three professional Polynesian costume makers featured at Aloha Hula Supply, Mark’s work reflects a deep appreciation for the artistry, traditions, and craftsmanship of Polynesian cultures.

His creations have been featured at Bishop Museum, the We Are Samoa Festival, Merrie Monarch Festival, and the Hura Tapairu Competition in Papeʻete, as well as in various lūʻau and production shows throughout Hawaiʻi.
